repose (unfinished)

Jack shacks up wherever his feet stop,
flops wherever his heartbeat peaks,
falls wherever concrete has fought him
and won

pauses, wherever,
to bear wracking soreness,
stacks up papers and boxes
wherever grates warm chilled, berated bones

lays and stills his head
wherever pavement bears weight
where an aching skull bears shocks,
chasms of street cacophany
